Why is your job your dream job?

I very much enjoy my job, because it never gets boring. The days are exciting and diverse and there are many different event formats and tasks. Also, we have a great team and laugh a lot together. 😊

Which event was/is the most interesting one for you?

Every event is unique. Very special moments for me personally was seeing Jonathan Frakes live at the VIECC® Vienna Comic Con 2023 and meeting Thomas Brezina at Buch Wien.

How/where do you like to spend your evening after a hard day at work?

In nature by bike or on inline skates, on the trampoline or with friends at the Danube Canal.

What do you do to start the day right?

Walking to work on foot with good music or a podcast in my ears, together with a cinnamon roll from Mel&Koffie in my bag.

If you got on a plane right now, where would you go?

I would like to go to Iceland to see the Northern Lights.

Which country would you like to live in, other than Austria?

Botswana 🐘

Why is your job your dream job?

Because it is multi-faceted and colorful and not a classic 9 to 5 job. Even after years in this job, you are always faced with new challenges – and that makes it exciting.

How does a perfect weekend look like for you?

No alarm clock, no obligations, and being surrounded by people , who mean something to me

What keeps you up at night?

My cats sometimes.

If you got on a plane right now, where would you go?

Hawaii or the Fiji Islands, but now Sicily and Portugal are on the agenda first..

Which country would you like to live in, other than Austria?

Somewhere by the sea, where it is warm, and the sun is shining

Where would you travel to, if there was a time machine?

Travel around the world and visit one or two congress centers, such as the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai (supposedly the largest in the world) or the Convention Center in Las Vegas.

If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?

The ability to teleport. This would enable me to travel instantly to any place in the world, without wasting time and without polluting the environment through conventional means of transport.

Why is your job your dream job?

It’s a wonderful mix of order and chaos, planning and spontaneity, challenge and routine. But the highlight is certainly the great people I get to work with.

How do you like to spend your evening after a hard day at work?

After a long day at work, I love to relax while kayaking on the Danube at sunset and enjoying the beauty of nature.

Which personal characteristics are particularly helpful in your work?

In my work it is particularly helpful to keep calm. Even when things get chaotic, this calmness allows me to master even the trickiest situations.

Which country would you like to live in, other than Austria?

One country would definitely not be enough for me. However, the wild banks of the Soča, the picturesque stone villages in the Vipava Valley and the Dalmatian islands offer everything I want for a fulfilling life.

Where would you travel to, if there was a time machine?

If there was a time machine, I would love to go back to the opening of the Messe Wien in Fall 1921 to witness the beginning of the Messe Wien. It would be fascinating to see how the Messe Wien has evolved and changed over decades.

Why is your job your dream job?

I love the variety, both in the type of events and the different customers from all over the world, as well as our great team, who is always ready to help and go the extra mile for our clients and guests.

What was your biggest challenge – where did you have to push your limits?

The biggest challenges in my job arise either from the operational implementation of several parallel events or events that occupy the entire venue. During the ESCRS 2018, for example, these challenges were combined as the congress consisted of 3 congresses (some with different opening hours over 7 days) and a total number of participants of 22,000 people across the entire venue. That is why this congress is definitely one of my biggest challenges, but one of my favorite moments at the same time.

How do you like to spend your evening after a hard day at work?

On the couch watching series and eating snacks

The one song, that is the soundtrack of your life

David Bowie “Heroes”, because I am convinced that there is a hero in each of us and that we get the chance to be a hero for other people every day, no matter the form.

If you got on a plane right now, where would you go?

To my second home Chicago.

If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?

I would love to be able to travel through time. Apart from that, I would of course love to be Wonder Woman 😉
