The Sales Team

Tanja Gruber

I am good at my job, because …

I love my job. I am 100% committed to my work and always try to exceed our customers’ expectations. As a team player, I work efficiently and conscientiously and try to approach challenges creatively.

What was your biggest challenge – where did you have to push yourself to your limits?

I always try to adapt to the different cultures and customs of our clients as best I can. However, the requirements and working methods of an Indian corporate client pushed me to my limits before and during a lavish gala dinner for 500 people. Not only were all the catering, decorations and spices flown in, but 40 Indian chefs were also hired especially for the event.

What does a perfect weekend look like for you?

An ideal weekend offers a good balance of relaxation, outdoor activities, and time for me as well as for family and friends.

What would be the title of your autobiography?

“What’s for lunch?” – by Tanja Gruber (there is always time for food 😊)

If you got on a plane right now, where would you go?

I would love to fly to Sardinia again, to the Caribbean beaches, the turquoise sea and delicious Italian food.

Which event was/is the most exciting one for you?

This industry is so diversified and exciting -you see it in every single event. And there is always this goosebumps-moment, either just right before the opening or sometime during the event – experiencing this is pure joy. Even more when they happily return and sometimes even turn to friends.

Is bigger better? If yes, why? 😉

In general every event is special for itself. But a full-venue congress that you have successfully acquired yourself, is definitely a highlight. The dimension of such an event, the many thousand participants, the logistics and planning behind the scenes etc.

What do you do to start the day right?

It’s all about coffee.

The one song, that is the soundtrack of your life:

„Music was my first love” – because this songs perfectly tells how important music is for me, no matter which type. My taste is definitely very diverse.

Which country would you like to live in, other than Austria?

There are many great destinations, as long as it is at the sea. But ranked on top would be Vancouver or Greece.

If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?

Freece the time, because time flies by far too quickly.

Is bigger better? If yes, why? 😉

Size is always good. For me, however, the focus is on the level of quality.

What was your biggest challenge – where did you have to push yourself to your limits?

A product launch from abroad for 1,000 people, with a lead time of 2 months.

How do you prefer to spend your evening after a hard day’s work?

To de-stress after a busy day, I either need to get a good workout (spinning/running) or enjoy a delicious glass of red wine. Ideally both. 😉

What do you do to start the day right?

Nothing works without coffee 😉

If you got on a plane right now, where would you go?

There are still a lot of destinations on my “to do list”, but if in doubt it would always be Crete.

Tell something about yourself that would surprise most people around you.

For many years as a child, I wanted to become a forester.
